Here's what you'll do day-to-day
A six month contract covering a network refresh across distribution sites. The
scope is defined, the hardware is ordered, and the work is getting it in
without stopping the warehouses.
- Configure and deploy switching and routing at site level, to an agreed standard
- Work through cutovers out of hours where the site cannot take an outage during trading
- Fix the things the as-built documentation got wrong, and update it
- Hand over cleanly to the internal team at the end
This is delivery work with a clear end date. Extensions happen but are not
promised, and we would rather say that up front than imply otherwise.
Requirements
Site delivery experience counts for more than certifications here, though the
certifications do not hurt.
- Strong routing and switching fundamentals in an enterprise or distributed environment
- Hands-on config experience, not just design or oversight
- Comfortable with out of hours cutovers and the planning that goes with them
- Able to work at sites across Sydney, with some regional travel
- Clear written handover, since the internal team inherits this
- Australian work rights, ABN or PAYG both fine
