Azure Infrastructure Engineer
Higher education
We’re building a shortlist for upcoming client engagements in this area. If your background fits, we’d rather talk now than when the role lands.
Here's what you'll do day-to-day
A hybrid estate with a long on-premise history and an active migration into
Azure. You will be working across both, which means the Azure work comes with
real constraints rather than a greenfield design.
- Build and run workloads in Azure, including identity, networking and backup
- Keep the remaining on-premise virtualisation and storage healthy while it is still load bearing
- Plan and execute migrations, including the ones nobody wants to touch
- Document what you build, because the next person will be reading it at 2am
The environment is older and more varied than a pure cloud shop. If you enjoy
untangling something that grew over fifteen years, this is that. If you want
everything in code from day one, it is not.
Requirements
Hybrid experience is the thing here. Pure cloud or pure on-premise backgrounds
both work if you are willing to learn the other half.
- Production experience with Azure, particularly identity and networking
- Background in on-premise infrastructure: virtualisation, storage, Windows Server
- Understanding of hybrid identity and how it breaks
- Scripting in PowerShell or Python
- Patience for an environment with real history in it
- Australian work rights, Brisbane based
Application process
Send your CV and we’ll come back to you within a business day, either way. If your background fits, the first conversation is a thirty minute call to talk through what you’ve actually done and what you’re looking for next.
We’ll tell you which client and which role before we put you forward, and we won’t send your CV anywhere without asking you first.
